- Your town and street, so the request reaches a contractor that serves it
- Full basement, partial basement, crawl space or slab
- Wall material if you know it: poured concrete, block, brick or stone
- What you've noticed and roughly when it started
- Whether it's worse after rain
- Any earlier repairs, inspection reports or warranties
Check after the next storm. Note where water stands in the yard, where gutters overflow and whether any crack leaks. That tells a contractor a lot about what's pushing on your foundation.
